Can you name the pieces that are still on the board?
What is your favourite piece? and why?
Task 2 - Te Reo Maori

Your task is to find out the Maori word for one of the members of your family (i.e. whaea - mother), and comment underneath the Koru Art post.
if the white rook moves two spaces to the left
ReplyDeletethe peices that is still on the board is: 1 black rook and 1 king and on the white side has 1 rook, 1 queen and 1 king.
ReplyDeleteI have 2 favourite pecies 1 is the queen because she can move in any direction. The other peiece would have to be the pawn because theres more of them and if you get to the other side it can turn into any peiece you want.
I would sacrifice my rook so then you can take their black rook so then they only have the king left.
I have some advice for Kade and Tama-Tu!
ReplyDeleteMy advice is think before you move. What I mean is that before you move think about what you are moving and what your opponent can do after your move.
I hope that helps you Kade and Tama-Tu or anyone else who wants some advice!
firstly why would i want to help tama-tu or kade?
ReplyDeleteany way if white wanted to win they could just move four pieces down(form looking at my angle) and then across to the left (I think!) tungâne or tuakana is brotrher
white rook, white gueen, white king, black king and black rook
ReplyDeletemy favourite would be the queen because she can move in any space
the rook can move two spaces to the left
The pieces that are still on the board are: 1 black Rook, 1 black King and on the white there is 1 Queen, 1 Rook and 1 King.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite piece is the Queen because she can move in any direction as far as she can go and is the strongest piece on the board. My second favourite is probably the Rook or the Knight because the Rook can move forward left right and back any amount of spaces and the Knight can jump pieces and they go in a L shape.
Well if its the black teams turn this black Rook can get the whites King and the black wins. But if its thr whites turn the white King has to move because it in CHECK.
the pieces left on the board are a black king and a black rook. on the white side is the king, queen and a rook. my favourite piece on the board is the queen because she can move anywhere. i think if you move the white rook up one (even though you would then loose your own rook, you would still be able to get the black rook with your queen). Then the only black piece left on the board would be the king. The white king and queen could then make their way to putting the black king into check mate. therefor the white side would win!
ReplyDeleteKing, rook and queen my favourite piece is probably the Knight (Horsey) because it looks cool! and it can move only one unique way. And its just awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteYou will have to move your king, and keep moving it as I will continue to put you into check
ReplyDeletefrom TamaTu
MY favourite piece is proberly the queen because she can move any way on the board.
ReplyDeletethe pieces are...
